Windows Media Center and AIF Files?

I am able to play AIF files created from Itunes in WMP but I can't seem to get the Library to detect the files? I assumed that since it could play them it would list them. Is there something I need to add to get them to show up in the Library? I allready double checked to ensure the folder is being watched..
