Windows Live Mail: How to set Times New Roman in HTML e-mails?

When I write an HTML message in Windows Live Mail and set the font to "Times New Roman", the text in the sent message actually lacks any information about fonts. When I set the font to "Arial" or any other (except Times New Roman), the font is present and the text is formatted accordingly. Why? How can I send HTML messages with WLM written in Times New Roman?
