Windows in a Ford Explorer?

Okay the windows don't like to work in my Ford Explorer 2003 Xlt. I checked all the fuses under the hood and the dash and they are fine. What happens is during initial start up the windows work for a moment(only the driver window controls work) then nothing. I looked here before and no one had the exact same problem but could it be the windows regulator? Or maybe something else?

Also the fuse for the power seats keeps blowing why is that? Could it be the whole electrical system?
 
Window movement could be restricted as a result of a tight window glass gasket.
Treat the channel that the glass slides in with silicone spray on a paper towel and do a few passes. the door glass will move with much greater ease and put less strain on the regulator and the motor.

Your power seat issue could be a corroded connection under the seatcausingg a build up of current trying to get to the motor doing the work. Check the connections and treat and clean if needed. Basics here is always a good place to start. Also confirm the proper fuse for the power seat is being used and that the seat tracks are lubed.
 
Driver's switch is the master switch for all windows. Chances are you are or the owner before you smoke in this car, with the windows down, in the rain! Basically the computer panel or switch panel is probably fried. If you replace the master switch panel, you'll probably take care of the whole problem. However, if you need to replace one or all of them, I'd suggest looking at a site called new-n-usedparts.webs.com. Its a free parts locator site and you have the choice of trying to find a new switch panel or using a working, used panel. Either way, start your search there. Used switch panels start at around 15 bucks, whereas some of your new ones cost 75 or more to start.
