Windows 7: which version is the fastest (no bells and whistles)?

so I see Windows 7 Home Prem 32, Home Prem 64 (32 vs. 64? huh?)
then professional...then ultimate?
i run engineering applications. so i do NOT want fancy windows apps. like if it were up to me, i'd say windows 95 had it going.
 
just get the home premium 32-bit, they all have the same performance pretty much ultimate just have more featuress ull probably never use

rotfl "windows 95 had it going"-i geuss if they made it faster and made programs compatible with it instead of adding a bunch of crap lol...
 
Windows 95 huh? I guess you have a lot of patience.
It doesn't matter which version you use.
How you set up the Computer does.
You can disable any services you want. Disable the Sidebar, Themes, etc.
It's all up to you .
That's what playing with a Computer is all about.
I live to make my Computer the fastest it can be
with the hardware and program,s I have.
