Windowboxing on channels 320 - 325

I hadn't noticed this before, but lately there have been a few movies on channels 320 - 325 that are windowboxed. Probably 95% of the shows on these SD channels are pillarboxed, which I would expect. What would be the OAR of these shows that the windowboxing would occur, and is this normal, or due I need to do some tweaking?
 
Windowboxing is normal on SD channels when they show a widescreen movie - with an aspect ratio of say 1.85:1 or 2.35:1, etc. See the following thread on the topic:
