In my mind I thought it would be good to add some sort of wind turbine in the front of the car to create energy. Maybe similar in shape to the ones used on jet engines. It will introduce some drag, but if designed correctly could generate lots of electricity on the highway, making your car get very good mileage. Maybe make it open and close for city driving, because in the city it wont be practical, but on the highway it would be great.
