Hi guys and chicks- When I went to see Charlie and the chocolate factory yesterday i sat next to my mum and I said, 'do you reckon Mr Wonka's gay?' and she replied, "I don't think he's anything!" Any of you lot share this impression too? No doubt they'll be some cheeky sod on here saying I'm a Wonka obsessive and they're probably right but it's hard not to be! :D :D :confused: :confused: :eek: :o :eek: :) :confused: :confused:

Gladly, Tandi! I think I'm partly under this assumption because Mr Wonka reminRAB me very much of a lovely science teacher I had at school, who everyone said was gay and probably was actually. He was alway telling me what a lovely, fantasic, excellent girl I was. I think the other girls were jealous cos I was the only one in the class that ever did any work and he used to praise me all the time. Aaah memories-his name was Mr Bray. If you're reading this Sir, I love and miss you, you were a great teacherxxxxxxx And you remind me of Willy Wonka! Take that how you want!
 
No Mr.Wonka is not gay. He has plenty of Oompa Lumpas there to play with thats all.
Johnny Depp made a slightly more desirable Mr.Wonka than Gene Wilder ever did.
 
I wish I would have had a science teacher like that. One of mine we used to call Tarzan because he looked like he had just crawled out of the jungle :D

I could really go with some chocolate just now!! Wheres Willy :D

I dont think he has any sexual orientation actually. For a start, he's just a character from a book and that aspect of him was probably never decided, so it's just whatever you think!
 
Well I suggest you go and see it on now, Tandi!!!!!! It's stunning to look at, funny, the best movie of this year, for kiRAB but not for kiRAB. I mean hello, JOHNNY DEPP AND TIM BURTON in the same production? Surely the makings of a masterpeice! Every woman's dream-Johnny Depp owning a chocolate factory-I'm sure I wrote that in another post but I can't stress it enough!!! I think you're right, '40s (ish) :D :D :confused: :eek: :o :o :D :cool:
