I am not completely certain as to which specific career I aspire to be but I am almost positive which career path I want to choose. I know I want to do something along the lines of a therapist or a substance abuse counselor ergo I have chosen psychology as my major. As far as academic goals, I want to graduate high school with at least a 3.5 GPA, and a sentiment that I have accomplished something and strived to be the best person I can be.
I am sure my response to the question about my academic goals sounds generic and rehearsed so I would like to make it clear that I make mistakes and that I am not trying to play myself up. This brings me to the person that has influenced my career goals, ****** *********, who is the substance abuse counselor that helped me get over a drug problem I had in 2006 when I was checked into a residential rehabilitation center. I am sure this sounds bad but it has made me into the person I am today. I have learned a lot from the experience and it helped get me into such a gratifying state with myself and the people around me and I would love to make a difference like this in someone else’s life. I hope my opening up about my life has enticed you, rather than causing you to turn from me because of the past mistakes I've made.
