Will you get to keep your gamerscore when the new xbox comes out ?

The new xbox (720 i think) will be comming out soon. I was wanting to know if anybody knew if you get your old xbox 360 account onto the 720 (probably via xbox live) will still have all your gamerscore from the 360 ? Theres not much point working for all this gamerscore if your a gamerscore whore and then are back to the start when you get the 720.
 
I didn't know the 720 is even being considered. The portable X-box 180 perhaps? But to answer your question, I believe they'll make your gamer-score accesible for your next purchase.
