Since he transferred just his mind and not his genetics with the guy, technically he shouldn't have his powers as they were based upon the mutant X gene.
 
after the credits, they show a clip of that guy who was born comatose or something... xavier transferred his mind into him. i think. i read about it but didnt stay for it myself because i didnt like the movie at all. part 1 and 2 were far better.
 
what my question is.....why didnt they just use the "cure" on jean instead of killing her?

I mean...it sure as hell almost completely worked on magneto...so why not jean? And if you're gonna say that jean was too powerful, it can't hurt to try, right?
 
Actually I think he will. In the comic, storm shed her body and still had her powers even without her body. She became a being of pure energy.

This was one of the alternate time lime comics.

did you not notice everything around her being turned to dust? The only reason Logan could reach her is because of his mutant power (healing). His cloths and stuff where turned to dust too. There is no way the cure needle would have made it to her
