When I say "3" I'm referring to the company, just thought I should point that out.
Recently, the two companies merged. They still run separately with different plans but I believe they are owned by the same.. company? What ever it is, they've merged and in the 3 mobile caps you get your 'free minutes' to '3 and Vodafone' instead of before the merge when it was just to 3.
Even though I'm giving you background information, I would assume that if you know the answer to this question you won't need it
I got my 32gb iPhone 3GS and I think it is locked into 3. Soon my cap will expire and I'm looking into the Vodafone Infinity cap - not that my choice of cap in future is particularly relevant...
A friend of mine has wanted an iPhone for a long time but her cap won't allow her to get an iPhone without paying a handset fee which she really is not interested in. I'd like to be able to give her my iPhone, but first I want to be sure that she could actually put her Vodafone simcard into my potentially locked iPhone before I offer it to her and poetntially disappoint.
If no one knows the answer I will call up 3 - just thought I'd check if anyone knew since the merger if they would both work
Thanks for all the help!
