I am going to the Philippines with some friends to visit their family and see some of mine along the way, via a long, long, long, LONG layover in Japan. I don't want to have to get a new number or anything. I was wondering if i could get my number put on one of their world phones like a blackberry or that little red flip phone as a last resort and bring my iphone along as just a ipod. Will this work and i could use the new phone as if i was in the states? Also any other details or personal experiences on/with verizon's world phones and their plans ect. would be appreciated.
