I'm curious as to if this recipe will work but I don't have time to try it before hand.
I have red everyday eating apples. I'm thinking about peeling and coring them. Filling a crock-pot/slow-cooker with water and adding spices such as Cinnamon, nutmeg and a few raisins, then leaving them on the slow cooker till tender.
I'm hoping that the apples will then obtain the cinnamon and nutmeg taste from being cooked slowly in the spiced water, and have raisins to serve with it.
Just curious if this will work or not and if not any ideas please?
Many thanks
Skooch - yeah thanks I forgot to put sugar on there too - I'm thinking brown will be best.
Also another part of the question is should I put in the raisins at the beginning or at a later stage as I think it will take a few hours on the slow cooker for the apples to be ready.
Thanks in advance to everyone replying
