Will this work as a dissertation topic - colour theory in financial statements?

I plan to replicate (to some extent) a study carried out on businesses in Hong Kong but using the FTSE100 instead. I intend to investigate the use of colour in the financial statements of companies with significant changes in profitability (over a 3 or 4 year period) and investigate their use of colour (what colours, how much colour, depth of colours etc) in relation to how well they are performing.

I had been going to do another topic but decided to go for this instead after a lecturer recommended it. The dissertation I had planned would possibly have relied on gathering primary data which I was nervous about. This will involve using published reports which are available at the click of a button and using already published colour theory, which again is easily available. I imagine that going through a hell of a lot of corporate reports and quantifying the use of colour will be incredibly time consuming, but once done I would think the dissertation would practically write itself (for want of a better phrase).

What do you think? I am alot more interested in this than my other topic, which I just picked as I was panicking that I didn't have a topic!!!
Care to expand on that?
