i have a sony ericsson c905a from at&t, and recently some of the lights on some buttons have not turned off. i want to do a warranty replacement, but i was told the phone is to have no physical defects. however, as i was putting it in my pocket before, a small plastic piece on the side of my phone clipped to my pocket and tore off as i was putting it into the pocket- here are the pics of this- (remove the "*******" because im not allowed to post links since my post is under 20)=

its extremely small, but im worried that this will void the warranty. should i be concerned? maybe i could rip that whole plastic piece off?

I dont think the small plastic piece will void the warranty.
And I dont think a warranty replacement is a good idea.
They will just replace your phone with a refurbish phone.
And who knows what's wrong with the refurbish ones.
It is better off to fix your phone because it only has a light problem, not RF problem, which is much harder to fix.I think they will even change broken plastic case for u.

I would find a good AT&T Dealer in your neighborhood. One that is an authorized Service and Repair Center. Talk with them live - they are usually more helpful than the AT&T Official Stores. They may know a way to get you a new replacement rather than refurb. Good Luck.

or ask them to repair your phones on the spot while you wait out. Anyways as everybody suggested , have it repaired. Small physical parts won't void warranty.
