Well in the 1930's the workers of Seattle and Minneapolis took over their cities and ran them via local elections from the unions for awhile until the Governors of the respective states got antsy and made some threats. I would think that these auto workers can do just as well if they really start organizing, settling up tent cities and clinics for all those out of work people who will no longer have health insurance, and food banks for all the kids who are going to start going hungry.
The people of Fargo, ND are our shining examples of what can be done when people start helping people.
