Will there be a predecessor to the Sony DSC-HX5V?

It's on sale now in a few places around Australia- is it worth getting it, or will there be a new model coming very soon? I am going on holidays in a week, so I do want to get a camera by then.

Also, how is it in comparison with the Panasonic Lumix TZ10?
