...always on? I have a PlayStation 3 (40GB, but that's not important at the moment) and I frequently set the Remote Start feature on. I don't use it much, but I leave it on for days on end. I was wondering if you could burn out your WiFi over time even though it isn't being used much, or does it just use minimal power to be able to detect a signal from a PSP? I've noticed that the WiFi LED is on when the system is off and the Remote Start feature is on.

Then again, for people who have internet access, you're online right away when you turn the system on and it's wireless, and it's constantly in use then, just to keep your PlayStation Network account signed in, right? So using Remote Start might not burn it out over time, or will it? I'm just curious. It'd be the shits if it burnt out at a time when I'd need my WiFi the most, like when I actually go to somebody's place and they have a wireless router.

Your Wi-Fi will never burn out. It is built inside the PS3. All the Wi-Fi does it enable internet connection so you could play online. So, I'm not sure why the Wi-Fi would burn out.
