a concentration camp AGAIN? During WWII, President Roosevelt signed an executive order that forced people of Japanese descent to leave their homes and live together in camps away from the coast. The Supreme Court ruled that was constitutional, saying that the government's need to protect against spying outweighed individual rights. That decision has never been overturned. Think the government forcibly relocate members of any ethnic or religious group associated with terrorism again?

see: Korematsu v US
Sorry Stas, but it was not found unconstitutional. Korematsu's convinction was overturned by a LOWER court in 1983 cause the government had lied. But the Executive Order has not been found unconstitutional

I think we should ship the deadbeats who defaulted on their mortgages to concentration camps. You could serve as the history teacher for one of these camps, handing out the lessons you think Americans haven't learned.

And who are we to say that conditions in the future, perhaps in the aftermath of something like the Mumbai attack, will not necessitate a mass detention? Do there not exist any conditions under which detention camps would be a moral choice? Would you say that?

Politicians everywhere are "masters of expedience" (remember that I coined this expression, along with "neo-conservative and neo-liberal," a decade ago, and now "neo-Marxist faux-liberal"). They will do whatever they can get away with that serves their purposes.

Marxists and neo-Marxists live in an ivory tower, fairy tale world, credit their own philosophies as pure and wonderful, and their opponents as false and corrupt. They claim the "right wing" will crush rights and freedom while historically it's them, and their softer socialist companions, who ravage freedom to bolster their perpetually crumbling fairy tale world structures.

So, the answer is possibly. Look for it to be done by socialist types like FDR and Obama, and certainly by harder socialists like Mao, Hitler, and Stalin. Socialism requires minorities to sacrifice for the majority. That's how they justify their "masterful expedience."

Never take to heart what socialists, particularly the Marxist types, tell you. They have no morality when it comes to supporting their beliefs. Their fairy tale world is so important to them that they will claim anything that could possibly slow it's perpetual crumbling.

To be fair, the "religious right" (I didn't coin that one) also live in a fairy tale world. Theirs is one where their god (one "created in [their] image") will finally rectify his world to conform to their fairy tale.

No, Obama will send conservative Christians who believe that homosexuality is a sin into re-education camps, but he won't send anyone else into camps.

Obama and FDR are much alike, despite their racial difference. they both planned to move this country far to the left when they took power.
