Will the republicans be as successful with their effort to block financial reform

as they were in blocking the? health care bill?

They are giving it the old college try, but will it work for them?

Should we support their efforts to leave financial institutions free to gamble with our money again?

What will the banks do next if the republicans get their way? Make loans to rabbits and squirrels, securitize them, sell them to pension funds and come back for more money?
 
Heck no, it won't go, oh no, America isn't going to tolerate tea parties when it comes to our finances, we're sick of the republicans charging the wealthiest 2% which control 99% of the nations wealth less than 1% of their income in taxes, the republicans are right, we should all pay the same percentage of taxes! Oh, or were they just insinuating that some one who makes billions of dollars a year should pay the exact same amount as some one who makes $10,000.00 a year? I shudder to think! Let's do make it fair eveyone pays the same percent!
 
there is nothing about the free market that could cause a business or anyone else to loan money to someone that they thought couldnt pay it back. this can only be the reasoning of government regulators.
the seven and a half years of steady economic growth, near zero unemployment, routine record setting stock market reports and the greatest revenues in our history (that the dems keep calling 8 years of failed policies) may have been the doing of the republicans, but the current mess is your fault alone. as you point out the republicans have no power.
