...value is low? I just got hit! Waah! Definitely their fault: 1)police ticketed him, 2)witness says he didn't stop at sign, and 3)my pix show I was almost through the intersection but he had just entered it.

I've got a 95 Toyota. It was in good shape, and I want it either repaired or replaced (preferably repaired.) Blue book value is probably a few hundred bucks which won't cover the damage (rt front door, panel and wheel).

What should I expect from the other driver's insurance company? Will they pay for repairs, even if the cost is more than the car's value? After all, it was a working, high mpg vehicle before their customer plowed into it.

Another concern - I Googled the other driver's insurance. It's a very small company in our city that probably just handles cab drivers. Now I'm worried about basic stuff like whether I'll even get a rental car.

One final thing - the police officer says he'll testify at the cab driver's ticket hearing that he thinks the guy shouldn't be driving at all. He believes he has some medical issues that make him unfit.

My insurance company will help to some extent, but the liability is on the other driver and his insurance company so I'm worried about not having a car at the end of all this.

Any advice?
