Will the new 4.5 OS work with T-Mobile

I love the 4.5! The new suretype software is awesome, kind of resembles the windows one, I really like it, it is slow at first but after an hour of use, it flies faster than whatever Tmobile has out right now...

It all depends on what YOU want to do with your device.

I had 4.5 and decided to downgrade to 4.2 just because it's faster on my phone.

For those of you who bought the curve when it first came out to tmo, remember that the hotspot at home service didn't work on it for the first month until 4.2.2.180 was released? (Kinda the whole point of wi-fi on that device!). NowOrNever is right, all O/S's can be 'buggy'.

Just find what will make you happy with your device and use it. If you want to spend a bunch of time "monkeying" with your device (as we all do on rabroad) then 4.5 beta is fun to play with.

with 4.5 you can have your emails with html, you have a better media player.
with the 8120 you can view streaming videos- youtube on the ride back home is nice from time to time- browsing is much better and with better features

I have. 4.5.0.37 running perfectly on my tmobile 8100. Well, almost perfectly, I have some memory leak problems and some camera issues, and some other minor problems. I would recommend waiting for tmobiles official release.

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~I have the 8320 on TMO. I have only had 2 bb but in less then 1yr. I'm a bit worried about beta's but recently upgraded to .46. I see no buggs really just the audio is not as loud as it use to be but besides that its a big improvement. I just took my sim and media card out when I uploaded it to my phone. So far 1 wk with no real problems.

I'm on T-Mobile and I upgraded my 8100 to the released version of 4.5 (Vodafone) to be able to make my new Jabra BT8040 work (mostly). I've been running it for about a week and I like it, but it's a trade-off right now. There are bugs. The much-discussed camera white-balance problem is the worst (IMHO). The browser is better, but there is a bug in text entry boxes (if you move the cursor out of the box, you can't get it back in to enter text again). The sound volume in the media player and on the phone is too low (I have to keep mine turned up just about full volume, and the media player isn't loud enough for me to listen to MP3s while riding my bike). I'm sure there are a few other issues.

On the other hand, the HTML email is very nice. Much more valuable than I had expected. The Docs-2-Go is a real plus. I really like being able to download native MS Office documents from email. I like being able to listen to media through my A2DP headset, although I wish Jabra and RIM would fix the incompatibility many are now suffering with. I have not had the slow-down problems reported by some (I've upgraded my OS a couple of times, and it is always slow for the first few hours for some reason, but then returns to normal).

All and all, I'm keeping 4.5, while hoping the T-Mobile release will come soon and fix some of these issues.

yeah customer care doesn't know until a day or two before it is released just like the retail stores unless you talk to someone who has an inside tip,

however to a post above there are quite a few advantages for the new OS. html emails, docs togo, voice notes, download attachments. just a few advantages

Tmobile won't release for a while. They are known for haven the most stable OS so when we find a 4.5 OS that Runs perfectly be ready to get tmobile's
