Will the new 4.5 OS work with T-Mobile

Now that 4.5 is out, can I put it on my 8100 can use it with T-Mobile's network?

You can use other OS as long as its for your specific model.

Just be sure to delete the vendor.xml file before downloading and installing the OS.

when tmobile decides to release it then it will, the beta's are out there but most are a little buggy!

Please note that you need to delete the vendor file after you download and install the OS on your desktop computer....

In case you did not do a default installation, its easier to use your PC's search to find "vendor.xml."

It'll pop right up and you can delete it from the search results window.

Actually- there are official versions released.....even official OS's can be buggy, not just the 4.5 official releases.

I've seen on another board that the .37 version of the 4.5 OS is killing SIM cards.
Maybe best to wait. Just sayin'

It is, and it killed mine. I am rolling the stock OS till it is official. Way too much headache for a few small improvements.

I downgraded to 4.2 the 4.5 is just to unstable. It will work without any third party applications, but once you download one, you will see how unstable it is!.

I've got .42 installed; so far things work ok. I've got media card issues, but the phone itself seems ok; my Opera and Viigo still work, as well as the native browser, etc.

I've got .42 and I don't really have any trouble what so ever. The worst that I've had happen is the random signal drop out. But that issue is so random that it could be caused by something else. ~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~

the vendor file is just to identify your carrier..

i ended up downgrading on my 8100 to the most updated tmo .107

i have a new 8120 so i got the 4.3.0.115.. is not 4.5 but something is something!
