Will the lg xenon work with fido?

I want to buy the lg xenon from bell without a contract or anything. but i want a Fido SIM card, i saw on the internet and the lg xenon is compatible with GSM and HSPA networks, and Fido is a GSM based network. Does this mean it will work i just need to make sure, much appreciated
