Will the iPhone work with the iHome??

Even if it doesn't fit in the charger spot, can't you still use the line in and connect it to the headphone jack and play it through the iHome??
[It doesn't have to work for the alarm, just play music :) ]
Is this possible or do you need an entirely new speaker system??

My best advice is to go http://www.apple.com and look for the answer there. While I suspect that it should work it never hurts to be certain.
