Will the epidural shot work ?

Renee I hope it works ? the shot was easy to get done. I will let you know how I feel in day or so .

I also have heard some very good stories of the shots helping a lot..in my particular case I had 2 in the series pretty good relief with the 1st...none with the 2nd..

I tried accupunture, an osteopath, intense PT etc etc...but my L4 nerve was severely compressed...stenosis, spondylothesis, DDD etc...opted for spinal fusion really had no choice..surgery was a success....75-80% back to normal after 9 almost 10 months..

Good luck w/ the shots..

Well the shot di not work in fact my leg is killing me to even stand on it ? Why did it not help out with the pain ?
 
I am getting my first epidural shot tomorrow L-5,S-1 will it work ? Are they painful after they do it ?
 
I'm sorry to here it did not work give you relief. I am scheduled for my first shot on Dec. 2. My PM Dr. said its a 50/50 chance it will help but thinks it's worth a try. I hope your pain gets better. Please keep us posted.

I was kept very comfortable in the hospital and surgery center I went to for my Epidurals , these shots work great for some people , my friend had her set of 3 shots about 4 years ago and her pains been eradicated . I have another friend that neeRAB to get his shots every few years . The shots did not work for me , but my spine had issues . Best of luck for yours **** It just might do the trick :)
 
oh im so happy for you i think it will help you alot they help me out takes the edge off my pain they dont hurt, maybe like a bee sting when they nurab the back up but thats not to bad youll be sedated right? iv right and told not to eat or drink 6hrs before? you will feel alittle weak after in that leg it feels kinda funny when you walk but that goes away in an hour or two. good luck keep me posted renee'
 
I am hoping the shot 2 will work starting to think the worst. I know I should not think this way but dam 2 months of pain !!!

The one Q I have is will I ever be a firefighter again ? as when the is all over and I get back to normal is the doctor going to let me lift 200ib I have to to go back to work full duty. Once I go back to light duty I can only stay in the program for 6 months. So if he will never sign off I am done as a firefighter forever !
 
Its just a bee sting......I had 3 and the first two gave me about two weeks of relief ea....the third one gave me a couple days of extra pain and then a couple of relief...so it was a squash!...but it gave them a little trouble when they were doing it....finding the exact location or something.

It is a very fast procedure once your actually in.

Its worth the attempt even though most agree that its a temporary bandaid.

Your next soon to be question will be asking about the discogram I bet.....you wont find any relief on that one!...but you will find great answers to your problem so it is worth the pain most experience.....my pain on it was not as bad as most and im a wimp.;).....good luck tomorrow and dont sweat it.

Your right bee sting doc wants to see me in a week . Hope it takes the pain away will see ?
