will the courts check parents juvenile record in custody battles?

My boyfriend wants to see his son but doesn't want to eliminate his mother from his sons life. They are in two different states and it's getting to the point where courts will be involved for custody. I just want to know FOR SURE if the courts will check the juvenile record of the parents? The adult record is clean but will the juvenile record be relevant if none of the charges could effect their child?

im not 100% sure, but in virginia its taken off when they turn 18.

Juvenile records are disclosed because of the age of the person involved. With that being said, the courts can't check their juvenile records as they are "locked".

Juvenile records are sealed. Unless he was tried as an adult there will be no way to know about juvenile records.
