My brother currently owns a 2004 Honda Civic Ex. I have been looking into buying a Honda also but another year and a coupe, but he has a very restrictive air intake and unlike him i want to add some horsies to my engine and will work on the car alot. But my question is if i take off the stock filter and replace it with a regular intake and not even a unrestricted will it harm the fuel economy alot? I think the filter that is on currently actually has two filters before it goes into the engine and i dont want to choke the engine.
Will taking the ULEV air intake filter off a Honda Civic affect the fuel economy?
