Will T-Mobile prepaid sim card work on an iPhone 3G unlocked?

im planning on buying an iphone 3g and jailbreaking and unlocking it and using a tmobile prepaid sim card on it. and i was just wondering if a T-Mobile prepaid sim card work on an iPhone 3G unlocked? or will it only work on a tmobile monthly plan or anything other than a prepaid plan? please help...thnx a bunch. =)
