Will swimming tone my body and cause weight loss?

I used to be an avid runner, but one day I injured my knee....that was 4 years ago, and to this day I still can't run, do the elliptical, do lunges, etc. Even sitting in a chair for a while hurts my knee. I've gotten really flabby and chunky over the past few years because I have given up on exercise. I'm thinking about getting a membership to a gym that has a pool, so that I can start swimming.

If I swim, say, 30 minutes a day for 5 days a week, and do yoga for 50 minutes 5 days a week, will that tone my body and help me to lose weight (in combination with a low-calorie diet)? I'm 5'4", 24 years old, female, and currently weigh 130. My goal weight is 105 and I want to have lost the weight by Thanksgiving.
Correction...I'm 5'3".
 
Of course yes Tchau Bela, that is also one type of exercises and definitely that will tone your body and if you take regularly than it will surely loss your weight. I just suggest you the best to take that regularly.
