my father was murdered in 2003, they had someone arrested and awaiting trial. I was told that they had a recording, of him talking to the guy he got the gun from, and he was saying that he tossed the gun and couldnt give it back to him. And when court came, my family told me that, in trial the Lumpkin co. PD said they had lost the evidence. and i think he was acquitted or found innocent (T_T). Its 2010, i am 20 years old, and i am going to move and about 2 weeks, in hopes of getting on my feet, and in my own house. And i need to know if i would have a case and if the statute of limitations would get in my way???
Also I am pretty sure it fell to a cold case, and i am sure that they havent further pursued an arrest or investigation!?!?!?!
I want to know about a law suit, against Lumpkin PD. for like improper procedures, or something like that. I know that nothing can be done to the guy, but i want police department responsible for his release!
