ongoing dispute process? My son is severely disabled and he was approved right away for ss1, well 6 months after he started receiving it they asked for me to resend the same pay stubs that i sent when we first applied. My son is now 4 years old and they told me that they accidently overpaid him the whole amount he was paid to begin with and he in fact was disabled but due to income of my fiancee who is now my husband and not the biological father of my son, they revoked his ssi rights to get that . I got a bill saying i had to pay them back and so i am pleading for a waiver cause we are not able to pay that back because his care costs so much that there is no way that we can pay them that money. I sent in forms and statements 3 times and they keep saying they have not recieved it, whats crazy is that i even sent copies of the same forms to 3 different offices 3 times each and the same thing keeps happening, they say they have not received it. Can they take all of our tax refund for this even though it is an ongoing process of appealing and pleading for waivers? i have recently agreed to send 25.00 a month until the process is complete of appealing it all and was told it would stop them from taking my tax refund but i am scared it won't. I need my refund to provide for my son the extra care and items he needs to stay moving forward on his progression since they no longer send his 400.00 a month and haven't for a while now. I don't understand why they even approved him if only to deny him 6 months later cause the same stubs were sent in so really nothing changed to make them think we made more than before. its very stressful and confusing, could someone please help me understand what is happening and if they will take our tax refund or not, thanks so very much in advance from both myself and my son.
