will sim card work if i change from a razr to blackjack?

I am on Cingular and have a Razr. I want to buy an unlocked Black Jack but do not know anything about switching the SIM card. Will the Black Jack work with that card?

Sorry if this is a stupid question. The phone is a year and a half old and i am sure the technology in the Black Jack is newer.

Any advice is appreciated.

Also, if you plan on taking advantage of Cingular/ATT's 3G network for either browsing or downloading, you'd have to upgrade your SIM card to a 3G card. More than likely your current SIM card would only access EDGE speed and won't pick up any of the UMTS frequency. It's really simple to get a 3G SIM card. Just go to your local Cingular/ATT store and ask the rep if you may transfer your existing account to a 3G card. It would take only a few minutes, and cost between $10 - $15 dollars.
