...value or private party value? Currently I drive a 1999 Toyota camry with 147,000 miles on it. My factory radio that is 11 years old is starting to break. On my factory radio I have 2 radio preset buttons taped on. Also my cd track up and station tune up button no longer work.
I have thought about going to Best Buy and purchasing a Kenwood or Poineer aftermarket head unit. I would have Best Buy install the radio.
If I choose to trade my car in or sell it privatley will an aftermarket radio lower the value of my car? Some people think that if my radio breaks completely that I should just use a boombox with batteries.
I'm planning on selling or trading in my car in 6 months.
This is in the United States.
Should I just leave the radio alone? Here is another question. If the original factory radio is taped up with it hurt my resale or trade in value?
