Will putting a cell phone that's wrapped in saran wrap in jello damage the phone?

For a somewhat late April Fools joke, I want to put my dad's phone in jello. I know how I'm going to do this already, but I'm worried that pouring hot jello on top of the phone will damage it. It's wrapped in saran wrap to prevent it actually going into the phone, but I'm still worried about the heat. Do you think it would survive?
