So if you have the same plant species, same conditions. One plant is older and bigger than the other, will one plant grow faster?

could you provide some info websites?
I can't find anything on the net about it, but I need to know

Of course. A small tree for example will only have maybe five branches, and in the beginning just getting a few a year... while a gigantic tree obviously needs to grow more branches in order to not look very weird. Just logic.

It also has to do with the amount of energy the tree gets. More leaves = more energy through photo synthesis. Remember the stem of a plant doesn't require more or less any energy, it all goes into growing.

However, in a full grown plant photo synthesis slows down and you get less growth again!
