I have a lot of pain in my back and have seen different Drs. None have been able to tell me what it is and I have been sent to physical therapy twice (6 weeks each time). I'm now doing my second round of 6 weeks.
I had MRI and xray done over a year ago and not a lot showed up - they did it without contrast. The last Dr I went to was a physical medicane and rehab Dr (I was sent there by another Dr at Mayo Clinic). All he did was poke around in different spots and send me physical therapy.
My question is, if he didn't do any recent xrays or MRI (my last ones were over a year ago and he said they were too old to go by that) and doesn't really know what is causing the pain - would physical therapy help it or make it worse? Should I see a different Dr? The pain is getting worse and no one seems to want to help me. It's frustrating trying to find a Dr who will help.
I've been to chiropractors too and it never helps. Sometimes wonder if it made it worse.
