will people take me seriously as an author?

Well if you write that much and it is well written they should.
But I am in the same boat as you. I am 14 and want people to take me seriously. We should get to know one another and compare notes lol

Well, it's going to be a lot harder for you than it would be for an adult, and honestly, no, there will be some people who won't take you seriously. You'll have to work harder to become a successful author and to get the respect that you deserve, since people tend not to expect 14 year olds to have the skill that it takes to write something worth publishing. But don't worry, it's not impossible. If you worked so hard to write your novel, and it's that long (wow that's pretty dang long!), then I'd say go for it!
I also feel the need to mention that when I read your question, I did gain a little respect for you, just because you had spelled all the words right in your question and written in complete sentences (you know how rare that is here.)

I am 17 and writing a novel so you automatically get respect from me. But even at 17 I wonder about respect. Most people don't put teen and writer together and think of anything serious or respect worthy. If you say you write or your a writer they go. "Oh, that's nice." or "Do you write poetry?" Which annoying on a whole nother plan becuase peotry is serious writing to.
Unfortunately I think you are going to have to fight for respect. You're going to just have to show people. Be like "I did this" present your 450 page amazing acomplishment then when they read it and find it is good they will have no choice but to respect you.
Being a good speller will help.
I have a good vocabulary but am a horible speller! and dyslexic. Two dreadful things for a writer to be and they cancel out the vocabulary. If you can't write a word out you can't use it so its useless.
