I have a 4x4 99' 350 vortex chevy suburban with an aweful lower, internal knocking noise..this happened after trying to get unstuck in the snow...no water in the oil. So, i've been told that replacing it would be easier and cheaper than taking it down to the block to see what would fix it. I am to broke to buy a new or rebuilt 350, well the ones i have found anyways so last week i was given an older model (78' maybe) oldsmobile 350 and was wondering if i could just swap over the parts to the olds block and will the transmissions bolt up?
will newer model 350 chevy parts match up with older model oldsmobile 350 block?
