Will neutering my dog make him less aggressive?

He'll be 11 months in three days. I've been taking him to the dog park almost everyday for three months and he has always done so well. Never fought or been aggressive. Always played with little dogs fine. He's 1/2 golden retriever 1/4 lab and 1/4 st Bernard so he is a very big boy. The past week and a half I've been very busy and haven't been able to take him to the dog park. Only a couple times at night when no one is there. Then I took him today and there was about 10 dogs there and he got in a fight with another dog who he has been around a dozen times and always got along with. Then when we were leaving another dog showed up and he got aggressive from a distance. Could nuetering him help? No need to tell me to nueter him anyways, I have no female dogs and always watch him. I would only consider nuetering him if it would make him less aggressive. He's never been aggressive towards people or other dogs before today. Oh and he was fine wither every other dog except the one.. And when he barked at the other one when we were leaving.
I train my dog fine. He listens well. He was pinning the other dog down rather than trying to hurt him. That's what me and a few other owners at the park were discussing. That he might just be to the age where he is more territorial. He rarely humps anymore, he knows better than to hump people, and the last time he humped a dog was when my friends cocker was in heat. I don't think much could make him sad lol, and there is nothing wrong with bringing an un-nuetered dog to the dog park.
