Lived in Germany wa-a-a-a-a-a-a-y long ago, but I am pretty sure they have not changed much in the old world. While you are there, anything you record will be seen there fine, but the stuff you recorded here will seem wierd! The cycle difference affects anything with a motor, like clocks, VCRs, drills, etc; even if you get the volage adapters [200v to 120v]. Might as well thrift shop the VCR, or leave it with friends. Longer than a few months, I would just buy a native model. SOME VCRs (high end) have a voltage switch and MAY be useable on both continents (motor adapts and also accounts for 50 vs 60 hz cycle). Ask around at military bases! Support our services and find a service person to email and ask directly. They might exchange via ebay.
