Will my thumb fall off now that I've been using my cat's wound lotion on it?

I tore my thumbnail down into the quick yesterday, and it hurts like a you-know-what. I remembered that I had bought my cat some wound lotion for his ears (he had scratched them up when he had ear mites), and that this lotion had a pain killer in it. So I tried it on my thumb, and it really does help!

So am I going to suffer any ill effects from using cat lotion on my thumb? I figure if it's good enough for him, it's good enough for me!
