Will my t-mobile family plan support a G1?

I am getting a G1 but I want to know if my current plan would support it... would I need a special plan for it? I have had a gravity and a t229 but I didnt get a blackberry because I would have needed to upgrade my family plan. Can I get a G1 without upgrading the family plan? Would I just put SIM card in and call number like with T229
 
Yes your G1 will work on a family plan.No problem there.All compatible. The G1 does require a data plan. However.....you can get it then try to remove it from your plan. It can just work on wifi but some features will not work on the phone.Like you may not be able to download apps from the market. The data plan you can get starts at $24.99 a month.That'll get you unlimited internet and email. $34.99 a month with get you unlimited internet, email and unlimited messaging. Yes just pop your sim card in the phone.
