conditioning camp? So today I was at this giant trampoline place and as I was walking off the trampoline platform, some girl jumped RIGHT next to where my right foot was and the force caused me to trip and twist my ankle! She didn't even say sorry and walked away as if nothing happened!

Anyways, starting this monday I'm starting a volleyball conditioning camp. And I'm really worried I won't be able to participate because of my ankle! Will my ankle recover in time (3 days) to the point where its okay for me to go to the conditioning?

I really don't want to miss the first day! :(

Ouch. Well, completely rest it the next TWO days. Also, take some ibuprofen/aspirin to prevent it from inflaming. Don't abuse it for the next couple of days, use ice and a heating pad, which together will loosen up your ankle. Then, on the last day, try walking around a little, but not to the point where it hurts. You just don't want your ankle to be in a complete shock when you start conditioning. Oh, and I would suggest buying some type of ankle brace to wear at camp!

It probably will heal in time. Just don't strain it even more and try to stay off of it except for just a little walking around the house. And when you have to leave the house, wrap it in something like ace wrap, and wear tennis shoes to help support your ankle. Feel better!
