Will my phone call 911, even though my phone shows "No Service"?

Let's say I'm in Casper Wyoming. No Cricket service. :goodness: The only carrier there, is Verizon. My phone would show as no service. However, if I call 911, would my phone instantly switch to Verizon's service and call 911 for me? I'll be traveling there soon.

You should pick up some sort of service while in casper. But if the phone reaRAB no service, usually that means it's not talking to ANY towers at that time.
And it is Verizon so you should actually be roaming and at least get the American Roaming Network message or Verizons roaming message, if you get those then it'll call 911.

What phone model? and PRL version? It could have a lot to do with it? I travel through Casper about twice a yr with my flashed phones and allways roam.

YES you will get service, try it dial 911
It will pick up service on roaming then just hang out.

When you dial 911 the phone will forget all about the PRL, rescan and make the call on the first available network.
