will my palm pre plus from verizon be able to connect to wifi even after

Verizon cancels our service? Long story short Verizon will be shutting our phone off soon and now im stuck with a very expensive paper weight.Has anyone had any experience with this? Will I be able to connect my Palm pre plus to wifi and at least use it for browsing ect or is the ohone gonna be dead and useless,bad esn # and all?Thanks for your anticipated feedback
