I plead guilty to violation of Youthful Offender on a second degree possession of Marijuana charge and was sentenced to two years of probation in june of 2007. I have tested clean ever since then and payed my court costs. I have not had a ticket of broken a single law. I am 22 yeas of age now and it was my first violation. I missed my first screening 3 weeks ago and was given a drug and alhcohol class to attend. I was 15 min. late for the class and the teacher would not let
me in. That was Saturday. I called my P.O. today and she told me to come to her office before 4 p.m. today. She said that "we would go from there". I tested yesterday so I know that is not what she is wanting me to show up for. I think she will have an officer there to arrest me. If so I will loose my job and be put in jail for 30 days. I do not know what to do. Will this ever end? should I cash out and go to another country?

If all you were was late to *1* meeting for the first time after having a good parole record dont sweat it. Just go and see them. Not going will make it *VERY* much worse. Remeber there are other parolees your P.O is dealing with that are screwing up much worse than you at the moment. Your P.O doesnt want to do too much paperwork so they will work with you if your good

More than likely your PO just wants to talk to you to see what is going on. Just explain what happened and why you were late to the class.

Since you have followed the rules and done what you are suppose to have been doing, and this is Truly the first time you have messed up, your PO may be willing to give you another chance.

When I was younger I was on probation and actually received a possession charge while on probation, my PO did not revoke me because I always made my payments on time and checked in as I was suppose to.

Good luck, but don't run from this.

**AS KC V stated, the court will revoke you, but your PO can influence the court's decision, as mine did for me.

You're given probation in leui of serving time in jail. It's the state's nice way of giving you a chance to redeem yourself. All you have to do is stay out of trouble. You couldn't live up to that agreement. There's no excuse for missing appointments or being late or flunking drug tests. You will be going to jail. Although you want to blame everyone in the world, it's no one's fault but your own.

It's not your PO then sends you to jail but the court. My experience tells me that your PO is going to inquire as to why you showed up late for your rehab program and possibly entice you to be more responsible in order to keep things in order!
