Will my old Verizon Razr work on T-Mobile?

My friend broke his T-Mobile phone and I was wondering if I could give him my old Razr that I got from Verizon? If it would work, what do I need to do? Thanks.
 
no, every phone WILL NOT work for every other carrier. T-mobile uses a different technology (uses SIM cards) and Verizon doesn't use SIM cards they use a whole other type of tech. to make calls.
 
All phones can work on all companies' service. They cut deals with the phone manufacturers. All they need to do is program the chip with his number and transmitter codes.
