Will my old PSP 1001, which I haven't touched in years, work with newer

games like Madden 11 and Invizimals? Hey, I just grabbed my PSP from my closet, realizing i haven't touch it in at least 2 years. I haven't done anything with it, no upgrades, no nothing, and was wondering if buying a couple new games would be pointless or if it will work just fine? Or if i need to upgrade or download a patch or something? Thanks for any and all help -- if you have an answer, kindly produce resource? Thanks
