I have been irregular for as long as I can remember. In high school they would come every other month. I have not been sexually active since 2008. Now in my twenties, in late2009 I went 6mos. without a period. That concerned me so I went to see my gyno and she put me on the pill & suggested that I had symptoms of pcos which scares the hell out of me because I would love to have children some day. So in October of 2010 I stopped taking my BC because I hate the fact that I have to take something to make me feel like a normal woman. I didn't have a period until 12/9/10 which lasted until 12/13/10 (I had never been so happy in my life to get my period). In January I started exercising and eating right and I had lost 10lbs (I know that people who are over weight tend to be more susceptible to having pcos, in which I am about 50lbs more than my ideal weight for my height) but I did not get my period at all in January. Now this month I got my period on the 7th (again never been so happy to have my period). I'm noticing more regularity with my irregular periods now that I have incorporated diet and exercise, now my question is, will they eventually become normal irregular periods every other month? OR will they actually be able to get back to a normal cycle?
